Bhanwar Niwas

A Red sandstone mansion that’s got the two most romantic places on earth covered. On the outside, It’s all royal Rajasthanm while the inside, is a glit trip straight out of Paris. Each bedroom is different at Bhanwar Niwas, but what’s common to all of them are the antiques and teak furniture, high ceilings and chandeliers and Belgian tiled bathrooms with huge tubs. Traditional swings tempt you in the gallery, lights are dim and in the silence you can hear the tinkle of water from a fountain in the courtyard. Step out of the haveli and you’ll find yourself in sands wept town on the edges of the Thar. This is also home to the famous Bikaner bhujia, for savouries and namkeen, Head down to Station Road and you’ll discover the shop from where the Haldiram’s began its meteoric its meteoric success.
