Fortune Resort Bay Island

Overlooking the sparkling blue waters of the Bay of Bengal, fortune Bay Island Hotel is situated on one of the world’s most isloated beaches, close to one of the few remaining rainforests we have. Built almost entirely of the red timber that is native to the island, the resort leans against a hill, and each of its rooms has a great view of the ocean. There’s plenty to see in Port Blair, from Cellular Jail, which is not a memorial and a museum, with a light and sound show that depicts the freedom struggle on each day. The anthropological museum, which features the tools, model and clothing of the island’s aborigines makes for an interesting few hours, and the aquarium exhibits over 300 marine species particular to the region.
