Karni Farm

Walk through the beautiful hills lined with silver firs and rthododendrons meet the myriad hill folk, relax in a comfortable, homely farmhouse, eating freshly picked organic food. The terraces of karmi Farm look across the valley to Sikkim, and you can even see prayer flags fluttering in the distance. Cool evenings bring the laze of log fires to the wood-panelled rooms. Tea comes to your door first thing in the morning and food is fresh from the land. Andrew, the owner, will personally take you around the farm, introduce you to the hillfolk and tell you their legends, so that you most out of your stay. The place itself is blissfully solitary and out of reach of modern life; e-mails are collected one a week from Darjeeling and there is absolutely no routine to follow.
