Kurai Pass Trek

This is popularly known as Curzon’s Trail, as Lord Curzon reputedly trekked through the pass in 1905. It promises views of the Himalayan peaks that few places in the mountains can match, and as the pass approaches, the mountains arrange themselves in a stunning arc. It’s walk dotted with oak trees and rhododendrons through an unspoilt wilderness. The meadows come in all shades of green one can possibly imagine. This is a medium grade trek that takes about a week, doing 14 to 17 km a day, depending on the you can spend time sighting birds or just give in to the idyllic landscape. There is no electricity, so at night you’ll bask in lantern shadows sipping tea, catching up with the local tales. You’ll stay in tents and forest rest houses along the way.
