Neemrana fort Palace

The majestic fort built at multiple levels, with its ramparts, turrets, arched doorways and verandahs, will only invoke awe and admiratin. Set against majestic hill, the palace is dramatic both in itself, as in its background. It is spread over 25 acres, with the fort incorporating palatial elements cut into the rock face of a hillside. It has been restored with great care, and the rooms have a mix of Indian and colonial antique furniture but our favourite bit is that the bathrooms have views too. Wandering around the fort is bound to occupy much of the stay here, but do check out the magnificent stepwells nearby.
