Each of the doors-there are eight in each villa-look on to the backwaters, the organic farm, or the gardens, and let in plenty of light and wafting breezes. When you’ve lunged on the verandah long enough, stroll over to the pavilion, built on stits, for a meal complemented by flickering Candlelight and the water. You won’t even miss TV or the phone because This island has plenty to do-try your luck fishing in the backwaters; go bird-watching, or take your partner on a sunset cruis. Walk around the 8-mn perimeter of the island or grab bikes to explore the interior.
