Royal Camp

EVER wondered what it was like when the Maharajas went hunting or conquering? At the Royal Camp in Nagaur fort, It’s possible to relive the regal life in all its casual splendour. The firt itself is complex that has a sundry mix of palaces, mosques, temples, water tanks, foundations, terraces and gardens. Amidst This finery is set the Royal Camp, which is actually a series of hunting or shikaar tents, but with the accent on luxury. The ‘tents’are actually entire suites complete with verandahs, bedrooms and bathrooms, Strolling amongst the ruins of the fort complex does take up the major part of the day. Once you’re done, just set up shop outside the tent, under the striped awning in the verandah and watch the fort and its varioous elements as the light changes, or try to imagine life as it would have been in a king’s camp.
