The Aodhi Hotel

This impressive fort hotel looks down on a sprawl of narrow lanes, crowded with carts and buffaloes, bordered thatched roofs and stone houses. The village of kumbhalgarh may not have changed very much in the last century, but This fort, built by Mewar’s legendary hero Rana Kumbha, has stepped up the comfort level while still blending in with its age-old landscape. With a backdrop of mountains and dense hills, the views from any of the fort’s ramparts are stunning. The kumbhalgarh panther Reserve is one of the last few that survives in India, so make sure you have time to pay it a visit.
