The Piramal Haeli

The Piramal Haveli near the Shekhawati Bazar, built by a local merchant, is colonial in architecture and speaks of the kind of grandeur that This century doesn’t make anymore. The semicircular entrance with grand pillars overlooks lovely gardens, while the interiors are adorned with traditional Shekhawati art and period furniture, and open into beautiful courtyard adorned with colourful frescoes. The cuisine is traditionl Marwari vegetarian, so leave your meat cravings behind. Outside, you’ll get a taste of the famous Shekhawati legacy borne out by havelis, mansions, monuments and forts. Also visit the Sati temple in Jhunjhunu and the Nawalagarh stepwells.
