The Qutab

One of Delhi’s most elegant hotels, the Qutab is walking distance from the landmark it is named after-the 73km-high, red sandstone Qutab Miner, built by the Afghan ruler Quit-udin-Aoba. Viewed as an icon that representedthe powe and strength of the Turko-Afghan dynasty that ruled India at the time, the tower is covered in intricate sculptures. A mosque also built in the 12th century, stands next to it. Most of the city’s other important monuments, India Gate, the Red fort, and Human’s Tomb, are also at a quick drive’s distance from the hotel. The hotel has some of the city’s most popular restaurants and closeby are some of Delhi’s most popular dhabas where, even at dead of night, you can get a spicy maggi masala or a macaroni and cheese that you’ll never forget.
