There’s no dearth of adventure activities here, but a Whole lot of shopping waits half an hour away in the nearby towns of Haridwar and Rishikesh. Haridwar’s main bazaar winds through narrow lanes in the oldest part of town, shops spilling onto the streets shawls, brassware, precious stones, handicrafts, bamboo products, rudraksha beads, jewellery shivalingams and sacred texts. Laxman Jhoola in Rishikesh is one of the last hippy outposts and sells appropriate clothes and jewellery-look out for bright beaded nexklaces.
