Yangsum Farm

This 44-acre family-run farm on the edge of a rhododendron forest grows everything from the tourist trails, in the little-visited district of Rinchenpong, it offers an experience of local life, with all the delights of a small village. The rooms are simple and decorated with traditional with Zen calm. There’s a monastery only a short walk away, but you don’t need to go that far for a little quiet-just step into the sunlit courard, or sit awhile in the altar room. The owners offer the local specialties, with ingredients like ferns, nettles and bamboo-a treat for gourmets and gourmands. There’s plenty to explore around the village, and on a clear day, the views to the khangchendzonga are spectacular.
