Kurulu Bedde

You'll find yourself drifting down the Mahamodara River, past the mangroves and rich, green marshes. The birds chatter in the trees and the monitor lizards dart about, with the occasional purple-faced lea monkey peering our from the branches. And then the pier hovers into sight. Here, a graceful wooden bridge spans paddy fields, and a lotus-filled pond takes you to kurulu Bedde's two luxurious two-story cottages. Surrounded by leaves and flowers, with branches reaching in, the cottages have the feel of tree houses, equipped with all modern conveniences. Delicious Sri Lankan dishes, prepared freshly from Berde's organic home garden. You can explore the surroundings by boat, or plan trips to the kotawa rainforest.
