The location is beautiful, stretching from al lagoon to the border of the palatupana-kirinda beach, which boasts some of Sri Lanka's finest sands. Animals do often wander through the village at will-the owners believe in living in harmony with nature. You can linger on the top deck of the bar-restaurant for hours-it has a sweeping view of the lake beyond, where animals and birds come to drink and bathe.
